Call for Eligible Projects Seeking Highway Infrastructure Program Funding
The Amador County Transportation Commission (ACTC) is issuing a Call for Proposals to eligible applicants in Amador County seeking Highway Infrastructure Program (HIP) funding for the 2017/18 and 2018/19 funding cycles. The purpose of the HIP is to fund transportation projects that include “restoration, repair, construction, of federal aid eligible roads, bridges, tunnels, and the elimination of hazards and the installation of protective devices at railway-highway crossings.
To request HIP funding, eligible applicants must have a government agency sponsor that has an existing Master Agreement with Caltrans. Using HIP funds requires projects to follow Federal requirements including compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) along with additional administrative and financial management requirements. There is an 11.47% matching requirement for all projects requesting funds.
